Description
Main Tasks / Activities
- Lead quality planning for new and existing products and identify, reduce and mitigate risks.
- Complete PPAP submissions for customer approval. Perform all needed activities to ensure requirements (e.g. MSA, capability, etc) are met prior to required submission date.
- Complete FMEA and RFMEA's, develop control, test and other plans.
- Lead problem solving and complaint resolution using 8D, DMAIC and other formats.
- Conduct 5 WHY Analisys, Ishikawa, Value Stream mapping and Kaizen exercises.
- Create and control organizational documentation such as work instructions, test instructions, etc. As required.
- Support supply chain with supplier quality initiatives and PPAP reviews.
- Participate in quoting, contract and requirement review process as required.
- Develop positive relationships with customer and supplier counterparts.
- Gain expert understanding of individual customer requirements.
- Support the Quality Manager in the implementation and improvement of the quality and environmental management systems.
- Conduct layered process, internal and supplier audits of quality, manufacturing and environmental management systems as necessary.
- Prepare reports describing studies, testing and other quality related duties as may be required.
- Keeps abreast of the latest technology regarding quality assurance techniques and methodology through reading, attendance at conferences and seminars, etc.
- Ability to perform dimensional inspections, understanding of basic metrology and calibration.
- Train and supervise Inspectors, Technicians and others as required.
- Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required.
- Perform Audits in accordance to VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5, CQI-23, IATF16949
Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in engineering field
- English speaking writing, German language is advantage
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and concepts
- Thorough knowledge of plastic injection molding (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of APQP – RGA Process (AIAG – VDA Standard)
- Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools
- VDA 6.5, VDA 6.3, CQI-23, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 Knowledge
